Cat of the month November 2021

Every month we choose three cats that we feel deserve special acknowledgment. We have a winner and two runner ups.

The winner of the Vet2Cat cat of the month goes to…..

Beautiful BRUCE

Mr Fluff-ball, Bruce joined the vet2cat family recently. Like so many it was simply the trauma of being taken to the vet that prompted Bruce’s hoomans to come to us. He shares his hoomans with two other furry felines, but Bruce still rules the roost!

This gorgeous senior chap of 17 years was diagnosed with severe arthritis and high blood pressure. With careful monitoring and the most up-to-date medications, including the innovative monthly injection Solensia for arthritis, Bruce is living his life to the fullest once again!

Our first runner up this month is …

The lovely TILLY

As with many of our patients, taking Tilly to a veterinary practice was just far too stressful for both Tilly and her hoomans.

We first saw Tilly as her owner was concerned that she was limping. As it turns out, even at the age of 10 years, she was suffering from severe arthritic changes in multiple limbs, and was really struggling to get around.

This lovely laid-back lady is a pleasure to be around, living life like a kitten again with pain medications on board.

Our second runner up this month is….

The spirited BOW

It is fair to say that not all Vet2Cat patients are overwhelmed with joy to see us in their own home! Bow was no exception. Bow was not in the least but enamoured with us invading her territory, to the point she made that very clear-  our ‘Kevlar’ CatWrap blanket was always within grabbing distance!

The reason she has been chosen for this month is the outstanding progress she has made with trusting us. With worried or anxious cats this can take years of consistent training. However, with kind, gentle handling, some pharmaceutical assistance from mild pre-visit sedatives, and a lot of patience, Bow no longer gives us quite such a hard time for her check-ups!

  5. Freedom From Fear and Distress
